Okay I know you are all hungry for what I've been up to but first can I point out a website I've found: http://www.historictrees.org/ Yes that's right historic trees, not a site about historic trees but about buying historic trees, for your own garden. Why you can have the great grand-pappy of the Honey Locust that shaded honest Abe during his G-burg address, or an apple off Johnny Appleseed's apple tree, or Elvis' Sweetgum in front of Graceland, or a genuine moon-tree (the seeds went up in Apollo 14). But my favorite has to be the one entitled "Washington Crossing Sugar Maple" - you know my moneys on the George 'the cherry chopper' Washington no matter how much he double crossed that tree. Though there is a place in my heart for the Stamp Act Sycamore.
