This Week I Will Be Mostly Tickling Bumble Bees
Be jealous, I finally got to tickle a bumble bee. After the odd bumping on the nose antics, yesterday as I walked along (trying not to make eye contact with people who feel they have to spit every two minutes - you know who they are in Chapelfield Garden) my eyes looked over a big fat bumble bee sitting (do bees sit?) on the sidewalk. Now if you know me you might know my propensity to move snails off pavements to save them (and me) from that horrible crunch-squish noise they make upon stepping on them. Well this bee while not crunchy, I was afraid he might go squishy hanging out there on the pavement. So I bent down to see if he was okay - he seemed alright but not very buzzing just lifting up and looking at his little bee legs. So I picked up a bit of bark to scoop him up on which he happily hopped onto. I then walked him over to a place I thought he might enjoy more. I found some lame little daises in the grass, I then tried to put him on and he was all "Look at me I'm a huge fat fuzzy bumble bee, I'm ten times bigger than that grass flower, really." I thought right that is a bit crap, so as I looked for a nice bee friendly bush, he crawled right up my fingers. He was fuzzy and tickled. Then he said thank you and flew away perfectly fine. But the real question is "Who tickled who?"

I'm jealous, I'd love to tickle a bumblebee. Sorry to hear your new job is crap, my advice would be to avoid anything remotely corporate as it is invariably soul destroying. I hope it doesn't ruin your weekends having to work.
Is Cadfael here yet? I really hope so as I'd love to meet him on Friday. Anyway see you soon (can't believe it is so soon after I last saw you)x
I always find that bees tend to drop dead out of the sky onto me. This upsets me a little.
I didn't know Cadfael was coming across....
Yes! My number 37th greatest thing to do in summer as a child is catching on! Those bees were made for ticklin'
